Damp Proofing & Timber Preservation Surveyor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough damp and timber surveys, diagnosing issues such as rising damp, woodworm, dry rot, and condensation.
  • Prepare detailed reports with recommendations for remedial action.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors
  • Provide tailored advice on property care, maintenance, and preservation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations and health and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in damp proofing and timber preservation is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of building construction, materials, and diagnostic techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely explain technical issues to customers.
  • Capable of working independently, managing your own workload, and meeting deadlines.
  • A valid driving license is required.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • CSTDB/CSRT certifications in the preservation sector.
  • CSSW certification in the structural waterproofing sector.
  • CSJK qualification in the invasive weed sector.
  • Experience with CAD software for creating technical drawings.
  • PCA qualifications (or a willingness to pursue them).
